One of the pioneering restaurants in Iligan City is Delecta. The two branches, one at General Aguinaldo street and the other at The Strip, Pala-o, are known for their fine dining menu.
Delecta Spuntino and Cafe opened last December 9, 2017 at DP Land Building, Brgy. Poblacion, Iligan. The question people have been asking though, how is it different from the other Delecta restaurants?
Spuntino is the Italian word for “snack”.
Delecta Spuntino and Cafe has a menu that caters also to students, where prices are made affordable. Meals and snacks start from less than a hundred.
WHAT’S AFFORDABLY NEW
They have flavors beef, fish, and pork. But my co-bloggers tell me the pork dish is the best(I didn’t had any). Especially, paired with Delecta’s famous palapa.
Fellow vegans, go for the fish fillet! Although, I don’t like my fish swimming in sweet and sour sauce but the taste was good for me.
I had the Cafe Latte, Cafe Mocha, and their Special Brew Affogato. There’s a twist for their Latte, customers can choose to add a cloud of cotton candy on top. That means more sweet sugar! The Affogato is I think something new for Iligan. It’s a cup of ice cream scoops poured with a shot of espresso. Yummy!
Root Beer Float & Ensaymada
The creamy, frosty taste of the Root Beer Float is best paired with their desserts! Root beers are family friendly, they are alchohol-free. So no worries!
I love their ensaymada! The regular one’s are my favorite. It’s priced at P45 per piece. I’ve tried a few favorites in the country and I can say Delecta’s can compete. It’s not too sweet, which I like, and it melts in the mouth. Tip: It goes well with any hot beverage on the menu.
There’s still a lot left to try at Delecta Spuntino and Cafe! What I’ve shared ain’t even half of the new delicacies available. Visit the cafe and share your experience here!
